Tony Griffith of the The Griffith Family has shown over the past few years that not only is there a talent for singing with The Griffith Family, but Tony also has a talent for producing. He co-produced the ‘Christmas With T. Graham Brown’ album currently available in Cracker Barrel and his producing talent is on display again with The Griffith Family’s recording of the song, “I’m Gonna Leave The Light On” from their ‘Give His Love Away’ album.

The song was written over 16 years ago by Toni Jolene Clay and John Mathis. They had met for a writing session to actually finish up an incomplete song they had previously started and as they were talking about shining your light beyond church on Sunday, they began to write “I’m Gonna Leave The Light On”. It actually was recorded shortly after by The Florida Boys on one of the last albums before Glen Alred and Les Beasley retired.

Now many years later The Griffith Family have recorded the song, but with a different twist. Watch and listen to The Griffith Family tell the story behind their latest radio single “I’m Gonna Leave The Light On”.
